As of 1 February 2018, the Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) is managing gov.au domains on behalf of registrants.
To apply for a new gov.au domain name, please submit an application form for the appropriate jurisdiction. Note that state and territory domain providers will continue to assess applications for their jurisdiction.
To update an existing domain name (adding or removing name servers or amending Whois contact details), please submit the relevant service request form. The DTA will process service requests for all jurisdictions.
Note that domain name licences will be renewed by the DTA on behalf of registrants.
