Renewing Your Domain Name
Domain Name registrations are valid for a period of two years from the date registered. A renewal notice will be issued, via email, 60 days prior to expiry. Reminder notices will be issued, if a renewal application has not been received, at 28, 14, 7 and 1 day prior to expiry. Notices are sent by our service provider, NetRegistry.
There is a non-refundable $62.00 fee for a domain name licence. The fee is incurred on approval of an application for a new domain or on renewal of an existing domain.
Please note that the licence period is fixed at two years and it is not possible to license a domain name for a shorter or longer period.
To renew your gov.au domain name please use the ‘Renew or administer your domain names’ function in the right hand menu.
Please note: You will not be able to renew your domain name until a renewal notification has been issued.
If you have any questions please contact your Domain Provider.
